"X-Men 3" Adds Another Mutant

The Hollywood Reporter reports that Mei Melancon will play mutant assassin Psylocke in "X-Men 3," directed by Brett Ratner and starring Hugh Jackman, Ian McKellen, and Halle Berry.

Filming is currently underway and according to THR, the addition of Psylocke had been rumored to be in the works with someone on the set leaking the news last week. Psylocke's role in the movie will be to fight against the X-Men using her special fighting and telepathic skills.

Melancon worked with "X-Men 3" director Ratner in "Rush Hour 2" and was last seen in the HBO series "Deadwood."
