Oscar-winner Reese Witherspoon has added Midnight to her list of projects. Witherspoon will star and produce the Universal Pictures film which is an updated version of the 1939 movie starring Claudette Colbert, Don Ameche and John Barrymore.
Witherspoon will produce Midnight with Jennifer Simpson, Mary Parent and Scott Stuber. Michael Arndt, Academy Award-winning screenwriter of Little Miss Sunshine, adapted the script.
Witherspoon will next be seen in Penelope with Christina Ricci and recently wrapped production on Rendition. The busy actress/producer also has Sammy, Under the Bridge, and Our Family Trouble in various stages of development.
