For those of you out there who don't know the story but may want to see the film, here's the scoop: "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe" follows the adventures of four children who go through a wardrobe door and find themselves in Narnia, a magical land enslaved by the powerful White Witch (played by Tilda Swinton). The White Witch has used her powers to keep the land of Narnia trapped in winter. But with the entry of the four children and the return of the lion, Aslan, the stage is set for a battle between good and evil.
Five decades after the book was originally published, special effects technology is finally at the point where "The Chronicles of Narnia" could make the leap to the big screen without the risk of disappointing Narnia fans. With "Shrek" director Andrew Adamson at the helm, Disney's looking for "The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe" to be the studio's most successful release of '05.
