2005 Holiday Movie Preview

If you haven't heard much about Steven Spielberg's "Munich," don't feel left out. You're in the same boat as a lot of people. Spielberg's "Munich" went into production in July 2005 and you can't help but think it's rushing it to try and release the film on December 23rd. Nevertheless, Universal Studios is sticking by that date and is prepared to do what they can to get Spielberg's drama Oscar consideration.

Inspired by true events, "Munich" takes place after the 1972 massacre of 11 Israeli athletes at the Munich Olympics. The film follows an Israeli squad given the mission to hunt down and execute the 11 Palestinians who were believed to be behind the massacre.

The movie stars Eric Bana as the leader of the secret Israeli squad. Daniel Craig, Geoffrey Rush, Mathieu Kassovitz, and Ciaran Hinds also star in Spielberg's "Munich."
