On the surface it would seem directing the Rush Hour movies, Red Dragon and After the Sunset weren't really adequate warm-up projects for tackling a superhero movie with a huge fanbase. But if the trailer is indicative of what we can expect from Ratner's X-Men movie, then it looks like 20th Century Fox might have known what they were doing when they placed Ratner in charge.
The Story: In what's being referred to as the last X-Men movie (see how nicely the 'Last Stand' portion of the title fits), the mutants are faced with the choice of being cured of their powers or retaining those things which set them apart and make them special.
"X-Men The Last Stand" mutates into theaters everywhere on May 26, 2006.
