Fall Movie Preview 2008

September, October and November 2008 Highlights

From Rebecca Murray, About.com

The summer movie season delivered on its promises, with The Dark Knight exceeding all expectations and becoming the second biggest grossing movie of all time. It's unlikely anything hitting theaters during the remaining months of 2008 will come anywhere close to The Dark Knight's box office numbers, although the batch of Fall movies is pretty impressive.

September serves up a touching romantic tale (Nights in Rodanthe), the return of the Coens to the land of comedy (Burn After Reading) and a shoot 'em up Western (Appaloosa). October has teens covered (High School Musical 3), star-studded thrillers (Body of Lies, Changeling), a couple of comedies (How to Lose Friends and Alienate People, Brothers Bloom), and a hard-hitting true story (Flash of Genius). November finishes off the Fall with an animated comedy (Madagascar 2), two romantic films (Australia, Four Christmases), another true story (The Soloist), and the most anticipated Fall movies - Quantum of Solace and Twilight.
