The third film of the "X-Men" franchise went through a couple of directors (including "Layer Cake's" Matthew Vaughn) before settling on Brett Ratner of "Rush Hour" fame. While many "X-Men" fanatics screamed foul when Singer left the series to helm "Superman Returns," others thought it was time for new blood. Will Ratner's vision equal what Bryan Singer was able to accomplish with "X-Men" and "X2: X-Men United?"
