Brad Pitt stars as the outlaw Jesse James who was assassinated by the coward Robert Ford. Hmmm, maybe I should rethink my dislike of the film's title... It does effectively spell out the story without the need of a lengthy synopsis. Joining Pitt in this Western drama are Sam Rockwell, Jeremy Renner, Sam Shepard, and Casey Affleck as Robert Ford.
What can audiences expect of "The Assassination of Jesse James?" Based on what writer/director Andrew Dominik was able to pull off with his previous directorial effort, "Chopper" (starring Eric Bana in what's still his best role to date), "The Assassination of Jesse James" should be a grittily realistic take on the life and times of the James Gang.
