Daniel Day-Lewis is very, very picky or so it seems based on the fact he likes to take his time between movies. Now he's back and in yet another film picking up some awards buzz. Day-Lewis takes on the lead role in There Will Be Blood, reuniting with one of his young The Ballad of Jack and Rose (which was formerly known as - before its theatrical release - Rose and the Snake, a much more intriguing title) co-star Paul Dano. Written and directed by Paul Thomas Anderson, a filmmaker who knows how to tell a story, There Will Be Blood is, unlike most award wannabes, quietly heading into the awards season without much fanfare. The Story
Loosely based on Upton Sinclair's novel, Oil!, There Will Be Blood is set in California during the turn-of-the-century. The story follows Daniel Plainview (Day-Lewis), a silver miner and single father who strikes it rich in the oil business. Dano co-stars as a charismatic preacher.
There Will Be Blood seeks out box office gold on December 26, 2007.
