Written in 1954, Matheson's I Am Legend is still considered to be one of the best horror novels ever published. Even horrormeister Stephen King's been quoted as saying it had a huge influence on his life. Warner Bros and Smith have a lot to live up to with the big screen version, but if anyone can pull off the part of a man searching for survivors of a plague while trying to keep ahead of vampires, it's Will Smith.
The Story
A horrible plague has nearly killed off the world's population. Those able to survive the plague have been transformed into vampires. However one man, Robert Neville (Smith), is somehow immune to the disease.
I Am Legend hits the road running on December 14, 2007.
