The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford Movie Preview

I included The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford in my 2006 Movie Preview which featured what I thought would be 15 of the biggest films of that year. And then wouldn't you know it, after that was all written up and published, Warner Bros Pictures went and pulled The Assassination of Jesse James completely off the 2006 schedule. Why? I'm not privy to that info, but it probably had something to do with the fact changes were being made to the film after multiple test screenings.

Whatever the cause of the delay in releasing the film, The Assassionation of Jesse James was ultimately pushed back to September 2007 which means it'll be the second Western to hit theaters in just a matter of weeks (3:10 to Yuma enters the fray two weeks before Jesse James). Both films feature popular A-list actors - Brad Pitt in Jesse James and Christian Bale & Russell Crowe in 3:10 - which should help both Westerns find audiences.

The Story
The law offers a huge reward to anyone able to bring down the legendary outlaw Jesse James (Pitt) and the notorious gunslinger has plenty of enemies willing to try and collect.

The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford takes place on September 21, 2007.
