"Shrek the Third" Movie Preview

So many celebrities are lending their voices to animated characters in Shrek the Third that just by reading the cast list it wouldn't be too-farfetched to believe Shrek the Third will have a much longer running time than its predecessors. Even Justin Timberlake's along for the ride the third time around.

With the original film grossing more than $455 million in 2001 and Shrek 2 nearly doubling that figure in 2004 (I credit the increase in business to the addition of a boot-wearing cat), saying yes to Shrek the Third was a real no-brainer. And fans will be happy to note that the original voice cast is all back in place, including Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy, Cameron Diaz, and Antonio Banderas.

The Story - Fiona's father has croaked and now it's up to Shrek to take over as King. But Shrek, being the ornery ogre that he is, doesn't want the job. With the help of his goofy sidekicks Donkey and Puss in Boots, Shrek must find a replacement or else he'll have no choice but to become King of Far Far Away.

Shrek the Third stomps into theaters on May 18, 2007.
