"Tropic Thunder" (2008)
Ben Stiller plays pampered action superstar Tugg Speedman who is cast in the biggest, most expensive war movie ever produced. He sets out to Southeast Asia with a 'Who's Who' of celebrity co-stars. Soon after the production begins, the actors are thrown into a real-life situation and are forced to become the fighting unit they are portraying in order to find a way out of the jungle in one piece.
Jack Black Talks "Tropic Thunder"
(Nov 2007) Jack Black was sporting short, bleached-blonde hair at the Los Angeles press junket for writer/director Noah Baumbach’s indie, "Margot at the Wedding," and it was all Ben Stiller’s fault. Black’s been busy working on "Tropic Thunder" which Stiller produced, co-wrote, and directs and, according to Black, the hair was part of Stiller’s vision.
