June 12, 2006 - Uma Thurman (The Producers) has agreed to star in the movie The Life Before Her Eyes, based on the novel by Laura Kasischke.
House of Sand and Fog director Vadim Perelman will helm the film for 2929 Prods. Emil Stern adapted the screenplay, with Perelman, Marc Butan, Aimee Peyronnet, and Anthony Katagas producing.
Kasischke's novel is the story of a woman who, 20 years after surviving a Columbine-like school shooting, still hasn't dealt with the fact she was spared being gunned down by the killer.
Filming is expected to begin in August 2006.
