"The Skeleton Key" is set outside of New Orleans in what feels like a world decades apart from contemporary times. Hudson stars as Caroline Ellis, a hospice worker who takes a job as a live-in nurse to an elderly couple who live in a dark and foreboding mansion in the middle of nowhere. Given a key that opens every door in the mansion, Caroline discovers a hidden attic room that holds a terrifying secret. Peter Sarsgaard co-stars as Luke, a local attorney working on the couple's estate.
