In order to make her job a little easier, Violet (Rowlands) allows Caroline the use of a skeleton key that opens every door in the mansion. Investigating the house, Caroline discovers a hidden attic full of strange items. Caught up in exploring the house, she's drawn into the mystery of the old mansion and its terrifying and deadly secrets.
Kate Hudson looked absolutely gorgeous as she joined her "The Skeleton Key" co-stars Gena Rowlands, Peter Sarsgaard, and John Hurt for the World Premiere of "The Skeleton Key," hosted by Universal Pictures at Universal Studios in Hollywood. Dressed in a slinky, backless gown, Hudson joked about having to get back in shape for the role of Caroline after giving birth to her son Ryder in early 2004. Hudson also spoke to me about taking on her first role in a thriller and playing a much more physically demanding character.
