Guide Review - "The Shaggy Dog" DVD Review
Tim Allen stars as attorney Dave Douglas, a workaholic who barely has time for his wife and kids. Not the biggest animal lover in the world - or even on his block - Dave is busy prosecuting a teacher who disrupts an animal laboratory when the strangest incident occurs: he's bitten by a dog who is not your ordinary canine. The miracle dog's bite transforms Dave from your normal Deputy District Attorney into a furry creature who chases cats and loves to play frisbee. In his new hairy body Dave starts to understand things from a dog's point of view, and gets the chance to find out what he's missing out on with his very own family.
The DVD Bonus Features
The deleted scenes and blooper reel are pretty much the standard stuff, but the real entertaining feature on "The Shaggy Dog" DVD is the Bark Along featurette. My dog enjoyed listening to the collection of barks and woofs, and paid attention to the screen during the entire clip. Not all dogs like to watch TV but mine does - he's a regular couch potato at times - and this featurette was a great addition to "The Shaggy Dog" movie experience.
