"The Ring" (2002)

It sounded like another urban legend-a videotape filled with nightmarish images, leading to a phone call foretelling the viewer’s death in exactly 7 days. Newspaper reporter Rachel Keller was naturally skeptical of the story, until 4 teenagers all met with mysterious deaths 1 week after watching just such a tape. Rachel tracks down the video, watches it and has just 7 days to unravel the mystery.

"The Ring" Calls Up Thrills and Chills

Here's my advice: if you hear about a video tape that kills people who watch it - DON'T watch it. Turn the VCR off and go outside. Then again, if the filmmakers followed that advice, audiences wouldn't have this thriller to laugh and scream at.

Daveigh Chase - Sweet (and Scary)

The cute young actress looks nothing like her creepy character in this year's hottest thriller, "The Ring."
