Movie Synopsis: When high-powered book editor Margaret faces deportation to her native Canada, the quick-thinking exec declares that she's actually engaged to her unsuspecting put-upon assistant Andrew who she's tormented for years. The unlikely couple heads to Alaska to meet his quirky family and the always-in-control city girl finds herself in one comedic fish-out-of-water situation after another. "The Proposal" is everything those who hate romantic comedies loathe. But for moviegoers who like their films light and fluffy - and don't care if a movie doesn't reinvent the wheel in the process of being entertaining - then "The Proposal" is just the ticket.

Ryan Reynolds says working with Sandra Bullock is something he'd been wanting to do for quite a while, and it was all just a matter of waiting for the perfect opportunity to team up in a comedy.
