Hilary Duffs Development from TV Days to Feature Films: Well, shes grown up. I mean you know she started at age 12 I think on the Lizzie McGuire show. And now shes almost 18 shes getting there. And shes grown up, shes smart. She is funny. She is grounded, experienced. She just brings a wealth of experience and fun to the project.
Rosmans Directing Style: I will certainly change certain stylistic things to fit the movie but at the core I always approach movies in a similar way, which is to really go for the performances in the story. Thats the heart.
Mark Rosman on Why He Took on Directing The Perfect Man: I love movies about relationships that have a very fun, solid story. That combination of both a high concept plot, if you will, as well as a heart-felt story. That combination I just love because I love to see that as a moviegoer.
Little kids are going to really love it. Not only does it have Hilary in the movie, but also Aria Wallace who plays the little daughter in it. Its just a lot of fun for them, as well as a lot of great fun for adults who will see Heather [Locklear] and Chris Noth.
Future Plans: After spending the last 2 ½ years directing Hilary Duff movies, Rosman says its time to take a vacation and relax. When he decides to take on directing duties again, hell be looking for stories with heart, preferably comedies or relationship films. Asked if he ever worries hell get stuck with the label of teen movie director Rosman said no way. No, I would just say see this movie because this movie really isnt a teen movie. Cinderella Story really was. It was just right down the middle teen movie. This movie has a big adult component and is a much more mature work. I think people should just take a look at that and theyll see the range.
