Wendkos on Writing with Specific Actors in Mind: I did in this case because when I came to it Hilary Duff was already attached. I studied everything that shed done for television or film. I developed this empathy for how she phrased things and then I wrote toward that kind of syntax, I guess you call it. And you know I got comfortable with her rhythm and I wrote towards that. And then discovering of course that shes a physical comedienne and I would lend the character to that.
Gina Wendkos on Her Definition of the Perfect Man: The perfect man is one that knows all of your flaws and finds a way to think theyre charming.
Michael McQuown on What Interested Him in The Perfect Man: I knew the concept was that strong. Heather [Robinson] had told me about it. It stuck in my mind for a couple of years and literally I was ready to give up on Hollywood and I said, Well, you know what? This will be the last thing I write. This doesnt sell, then thats it. I wrote it, sold it, and it was shot all within a year.
McQuown on Future Projects: McQuowns interested in directing and he's just finishing up editing his independent film, Digit X. McQuown says his dream project is "Millennium Walker," a $100 million concept thats generating some interest. You know, the Wachowski brothers did their low budget and then went on to do The Matrix. I hope to follow a career path like that.
