Vin Diesel and Stunt Work: The weird thing is I thought it was just a kick. I take boxing so I was saying to the stunt coordinator, “I can totally do this. It’s just a kick.” But there were rehearsals involved and Vin was like, “Okay, this is how it’s going to have to do down.” He was really serious about it. I thought, “This is really weird,” but I think he was really scared that I was going to actually kick him. But it all worked out.

We did rehearsals. It was very unsuccessful because I didn’t get to really kick him. He grabbed me before... But it was really cool to be able to say that I tried to beat up Vin Diesel. It’s among the top 10 things I like. It’s cool.

On Getting Behind the Wheel: Actually, when I took driver’s training when I was 15, I was really bad at it. I never thought I was going to be able to drive. The first time I even went out and started driving, I hit a bus with my driver’s ed coach. I can really identify [with my character]. I thought I was never going to be able to drive. I was one of those girls, “I can’t. I’m going to take a limo everywhere. “ Actually, now I’m pretty good. I got to do a lot of my own stunts in the movie, too, and that’s kind of cool and [I got to] drive really fast.

Vin and Babies: He was so good with the kids on the set. He just knew exactly how to handle them. The baby would cry and Vin would hold him and do all these weird sounds and the baby would stop crying. It was really cute. He was really good with the kids. Sometimes you would see him going around the set with a kid. We were like, “Why isn’t he in his trailer?” He was playing around with the kids the entire time.

On Sensitive Scenes and Working with Vin Diesel: I didn’t really work with Vin on it except we talked about it a little bit. I think it was kind of cool because we didn’t think it was going to be that emotional. I don’t think Vin knew I was going to be that emotional. They shot my side first, then turned around on him. He was like, “Wow. Now I know what this scene is going to be like.” It was really cool. He’s such an amazing actor and it was cool to have a whole different take on everything and get away from the comedy a little bit. It was fun.

Balancing Acting and Having a Life: Well, the weird thing about last year was “American Dreams” was finished and the day that it was finished I flew to Canada and did “The Pacifier” for four months. Then the day that finished I flew back and got on set that day. So, I haven’t had a break in a year. So now I have nothing to do and I’m like, “What am I doing?”

On the movie it was a lot different than TV, because I got the chance to just sit and rehearse. Whereas on “American Dreams,” it’s just constant so I think movies are a lot more relaxed. That would be something I would enjoy doing, but I like both a lot.

Coolest Guest Star on “American Dreams”: I really liked Kelly Clarkson. We got along really well. Jennifer Love Hewitt was really sweet. I went to a Golden Globe party the other day and I was walking past Usher thinking he’d never remember who I was. He was like, “Hey! Britt. Don’t do that to me. Don’t dis me like that.” And I was like looking around thinking he was talking to Britney Spears or something. He was like, “Yeah. I would never forget a pretty face like that. Come here and give me a hug.” And I was like, “Oh my God.” He was like, “I loved you on your show.” He was really nice and an amazing performer. We were really lucky to have some great people who have been a part of the show.

On The Jerk and Other Dances from the ‘60s: I grew up doing all that stuff because I was obsessed with the ‘50s. I had sock hops for birthday parties. So I’ve always done The Twist and stuff. It was pretty natural and, with my parents doing it all the time, I’d just copy them. Not very pretty…
