"The Last Song" (2010)
Movie Synopsis: "The Last Song" is set in a small Southern beach town where an estranged father (Kinnear) gets a chance to spend the summer with his reluctant teenaged daughter (Cyrus), who’d rather be home in New York. He tries to reconnect with her through the only thing they have in common—music—in a story of family, friendship, secrets and salvation, along with first loves and second chances.

Production Begins on "The Last Song"
(June 2009) No, Miley Cyrus isn't giving up her singing career. "The Last Song" is the title of the coming-of-age film Cyrus is working on based on a Nicholas Sparks book (that hasn't yet been published). In a twist, Sparks wrote the screenplay and "The Last Song" novel at the same time, with Cyrus in mind to star in the movie.
