Jessica Chastain Interview - The Help
Moviegoers may not recognize her name now, but odds are that before the year is through audiences will become familiar with Jessica Chastain. Chastain delivered an amazing performance in Terrence Malick's The Tree of Life and is a scene-stealer in DreamWorks Pictures The Help, based on the bestselling book by Kathryn Stockett. Chastain, who has The Debt, Coriolanus, and Texas Killing Fields heading to theaters later this year, tackled the role of social outcast/Marilyn Monroe-ish Celia Foote in The Help, and at the film's premiere in Beverly Hills, she talked about playing Celia, the hair and makeup, the girdle and pushing up her boobs, how the movie captures the book, working on a female dominated set, and why the story connects with audiences:
The Help stars Emma Stone, Viola Davis, Octavia Spencer, and Bryce Dallas Howard, and is set to hit theaters on August 10, 2011.
