Emma Stone Interview - The Help
The premiere of DreamWorks Pictures' The Help was held at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences' Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills, a fitting location given the fact the dramatic film based on Kathryn Stockett's bestselling novel will likely be in the running come awards time. The entire cast hit the red carpet for the premiere including Emma Stone who plays Skeeter, a writer who chooses to bring the untold story of black maids in the Deep South in the 1960s to light in a tell-all book.
On the red carpet, Stone talked about the story, relating to the film's themes, shooting in Mississippi, the hair and make-up, the appeal of the project, and playing Skeeter:
The Help stars Emma Stone, Viola Davis, Octavia Spencer, and Bryce Dallas Howard, and is set to hit theaters on August 10, 2011.
