"The Blind Side" (2009)

Teenager Michael Oher (Quinton Aaron) is surviving on his own, virtually homeless, when he is spotted on the street by Leigh Anne Tuohy (Sandra Bullock). Learning that the young man is one of her daughter’s classmates, Leigh Anne insists that Michael—wearing shorts and a t-shirt in the dead of winter—come out of the cold. Without a moment’s hesitation, she invites him to stay at the Tuohy home for the night. What starts out as a gesture of kindness turns into something more as Michael becomes part of the Tuohy family despite the differences in their backgrounds. Living in his new environment, the teen faces a completely different set of challenges to overcome. And as the family helps Michael fulfill his potential, both on and off the football field, Michael’s presence in the Tuohys’ lives leads them to some insightful self-discoveries of their own.
Sandra Bullock and Tim McGraw Talk About "The Blind Side"
Even if you're a football fan you may not know the heart-wrenching story of Michael Oher, the subject of the Warner Bros Pictures' movie "The Blind Side" starring Sandra Bullock, Tim McGraw and Quinton Aaron. Oher's mother was a drug addict, he didn't know his father, and was basically raised on the streets. But all that changed when he met the well-to-do Tuohy family.
"The Blind Side" Movie Review
Sandra Bullock is batting 2 for 3 in 2009, not a bad average for the actress/producer whose career now spans 20+ years. "The Proposal" proved Bullock's still adorable to watch in a romantic comedy. "All About Steve" showed the veteran actress isn't immune to selecting lousy projects to star in. Thankfully, with "The Blind Side" we can forget "All About Steve."
