CHLOE GRACE MORETZ – ‘Chelsea Lutz’

Eight year-old Chloe Moretz fell in love with her “The Amityville Horror” co-stars while making the scary pic. A trip to Six Flags helped Chloe bond with her onscreen mom, Melissa George, and now she refers to George as her “second mom.” She even had a sleepover with the former “Alias” co-star.

Working on a movie as creepy as the 2005 remake of “The Amityville Horror” may have scared other youngsters but Moretz said the whole experience was really just a lot of fun. She knew it was fake and so nothing scared her on the set. Asked what her favorite part of filming “The Amityville Horror” was, Chloe immediately said her time spent on the roof of the house was her absolute favorite. “It really wasn’t scary. The first time it was. [We filmed for] about five or six days. The first day I got used to it quickly. I loved it. …They put me on wires.”

Hanging out on a roof and dangling from wires might not sound like the most obvious idea of a good time, but for Chloe Moretz it was all in a day’s work. Even when she had a bit of scare, she quickly recovered and went back to work. “This one day I was playing and I was swinging and I had my wires on and I flew off the edge and then I [panicked]. But they said, ‘You’re fine. You have wires on,’” recalls Moritz.

Up next for the young actress is a role as a paralyzed kid in the Steven Seagal movie, “Today You Die.”

JIMMY BENNETT – ‘Michael Lutz’

Jimmy knew right away that he was going to have a good time with his “The Amityville Horror” co-stars. The gang took the time to bond before filming started by making a day of it at Six Flags in Chicago. Bennett recalls, “We went to Six Flags in Chicago and we went on all the rides. And they were really nice because I wanted to go on this ride and you had to be 48” so I was all upset and they got off the ride for me.”

Bennett says the highlight of working on “The Amityville Horror” was getting to work with Melissa George and Ryan Reynolds, and getting to do his own stunts. The filmmakers wanted to use a stunt double for a dangerous scene on the roof of the Amityville house, but Bennett wanted to do it himself. Bennett got his way and was able to do his own stunts on the roof in the pouring rain. Bennett was taught how to work with the wires and wore a harness while performing on the roof. “[The harness] comes up my back and you have to put it in front of you so the camera doesn’t see it,” explained Bennett.
