Despite the audience appeal of the
Terminator films,
Christian Bale wasn't sure doing a fourth
Terminator film was a smart move. Of course, he also wasn't positive
Batman Begins would revive the failing
Batman franchise. "The idea of doing another [
Terminator] didn't seem to be smart to me, but in the same way that and there's no other similarity between the movies, because I really don't mean to compare. I don't like to compare, but it seemed that way with the initial idea of reviving the
Batman movies. And even though they're very different sensibilities, I came to believe that there were some potentially good stories here and that I enjoyed it enough that I'd like to see it revived."
Speaking of Batman, Bale's keeping mum on the subject of another possible Batman movie. "You know, definitely I've learned my lesson there. I don't mention anything until Chris [Nolan] has mentioned it first," answered Bale when asked what's happening with Batman #3.
Having now played Batman and John Connor, Bale's not sure either man is someone he'd necessarily like to spend a lot of time with. Asked which he would prefer if he was stranded on a island, Bale laughed. "I wouldn't want to be stranded with either of them. I don't have to pick one. Does any of them have a gun? Shoot one of them and then Im much happier. I don't think they're good guys for hanging out with on a beach."
