Dennis Quaid stars as Dan Foreman, a 51 year-old sales executive with a pregnant wife (Marg Helgenberger) and a college-bound daughter (Scarlett Johansson) in writer/director Paul Weitz's romantic comedy, "In Good Company." Dan's cruising through life fairly happily, satisfied with his job and surrounded by a loving family. Then, as so often happens, a speed bump appears out of nowhere. Dan finds himself suddenly replaced as the head of ad sales. His replacement - and new boss - is a 26 year-old whiz kid (Topher Grace) who has the hots for his daughter.

At the World Premiere of “In Good Company,” Quaid's young co-star, Topher Grace, admitted it’s a little embarrassing hanging out with Dennis Quaid and working with him on a film. When asked to explain what could possibly be embarrassing, Grace replied laughing, “He’s like twice my age and he’s twice as sexy. It doesn’t make any sense, but he’s the boss at all times.”

Looking handsome, as always, Quaid revealed “In Good Company” is his first movie to premiere at Grauman’s Chinese Theater. Straight from the red carpet at Grauman’s, here’s what Quaid had to say about “In Good Company” and his singing career:

INTERVIEW WITH DENNIS QUAID ('Dan'):

How would you describe “In Good Company?”
I just think it’s ordinary people in ordinary situations, and I just think it adds up to a big drama/comedy. You come in and you watch people’s misery and you laugh, because you recognize your own misery (laughing).

Did you enjoy playing a tough business man?
Well, this guy’s not really tough. He’s got one of those soft, creamie centers.

Topher’s getting a lot of notice recently. How was it working with him on “In Good Company?”
He’s the greatest. He’s so talented.

Is it true this cast really bonded on the set?
Yeah, they all came out to my birthday. Topher [Grace] came out to Montana this summer. We bonded.

You were working on quite a few projects in a row. How do you handle moving quickly from one job to another?
That’s what is great about what I do, going from one job to the other. There’s no way that, like my character, there’s no way that I could do a 9 to 5 job. There’s no way. I was not cut out for that. You come in and you work for three months on the one job. They say, “Great,” you know, and you’re on to the next one - and you never even got fired. It’s wonderful.

How’s your band? Are you still managing to keep up with your music while you’ve been busy with films?
We play all the time. We play once a week.

Why do you always play barefoot?
It makes me feel like I’m in my living room. That’s all.

What’s the rock and roll lifestyle like?
We [play] here in town so I go home to my own bed.

Are you writing your own music?
Yeah, I always keep that up.

Marg Helgenberger's career is soaring with the success of the critically acclaimed TV series, "CSI." With the romantic comedy "In Good Company," Helgenberger takes a break from the dramatic for a little lighter fare.

INTERVIEW WITH MARG HELGENBERGER ('Ann'):

Did you have any funny moments on the set?
Oh gosh… I always get asked that question and it’s always so hard. Unless it’s like a practical joke, it’s usually just stuff that just kind of happens just naturally with personalities that develop. Because you know, a lot of times you’re just thrown in, like Dennis [Quaid] and I were just thrown in to a 20 year marriage. But that’s always funny. You hop into bed with somebody and there you are, you spend three days in bed with them. They’re like, “Hello, nice to meet you.”

Do you have a preference between TV and films?
It all depends on the script and the group of people that you work with. And I think that most people would agree with that. That’s always the case because it could be a wonderful script but the people you work with are a drag. That wasn’t the case on this at all.

What was your experience like working on this movie?
This was awesome. It was wonderful. Just wonderfully talented actors and an ensemble. Paul Weitz wrote the script and directed it, and he just really created a wonderful working environment for all of us. It’s a movie that I think explores a lot of themes that people can relate to.
