The Bottom Line
Superman Returns is a decent action film, but at its heart the latest adventure of the Man of Steel is a more of a character-driven drama than anything else. Some fans may be a little disappointed by the lack of fight scenes, however director Bryan Singer and the Superman Returns writers advance the story by emphasizing the emotional elements over the action sequences.

The Superman Returns 2 Disc Special Edition DVD is jam-packed with bonus material. In fact there's so much in the way of extra features, there's no way you'll make it through all the extra goodies in one sitting (unless you are a huge Superman fan). But be sure to set aside time to watch each and every bonus feature. They're all worthy of being included on this 'Special Edition' release.
