"Superman Returns" Creative Team Unites for a Series of Comic Book Prequels

Bryan Singer, Michael Dougherty and Dan Harris Come Up with New Superman Stories

DC Comics and Warner Bros. Pictures announced that "Superman Returns" director Bryan Singer and screenwriters Michael Dougherty and Dan Harris are teaming up to provide the plots for four comic book prequels to the latest "Superman" movie. DC Comics will be publishing the four comic book prequels in June 2006. The four prequels will fill the time frame between the first "Superman" movie and "Superman Returns."

"Superman Returns: Krypton to Earth" (On Sale June 7, 2006)

In the first of the four prequels, fans will revisit the Man of Steel’s origins and witness how the world has been transformed in Superman’s absence.
