Straw Dogs Film Trailer

Rod Lurie (Nothing But the Truth, The Contender) wrote and directed the 2011 version of the 1971 Sam Peckinpah violent thriller, based on the book The Seige at Trencher's Farm by Gordon Williams, and starring Dustin Hoffman and Susan George as a young couple forced into fighting for their lives against a ruthless gang. James Marsden and Kate Bosworth take over the lead roles in the '11 Straw Dogs, with True Blood's Alexander Skarsgard portraying the film's main villain. The original movie still holds up, and it'll be interesting to see if Lurie's able to make this new take stand up well in comparison to the '71 film. Check out the trailer and see what you think:

Straw Dogs Plot:

David and Amy Sumner (James Marsden and Kate Bosworth), a Hollywood screenwriter and his actress wife, return to her small hometown in the deep South to prepare the family home for sale after her father’s death. Once there, tensions build in their marriage and old conflicts re-emerge with the locals, including Amy's ex-boyfriend Charlie (Alexander Skarsgard), leading to a violent confrontation.
