July 5, 2006 - Mission Impossible 3's Michelle Monaghan has committed to a starring role in the comedy movie, The Heartbreak Kid*, with Ben Stiller. Peter and Bobby Farrelly (Fever Pitch) will direct the film for DreamWorks.
Inspired by the 1972 romantic comedy, The Heartbreak Kid, this version of the story finds Monaghan playing a pretty stranger who makes a brand new groom (Stiller) question whether he's made the right choice in marrying someone else.
According to Variety, the role of the new bride has not yet been cast.
