Julia Stiles and Liev Schreiber Consider "The Omen"

Aug 9, 2005 - The trend isn't over. Another classic horror film is making headlines because a studio thinks it's time to re-do, revamp, remake, whatever, a scary flick from the past.

This time it's the devil who is getting a facelift. Julia Stiles and Liev Schreiber are considering taking starring roles in the new version of "The Omen." Stiles and Schreiber would take on the characters played by Lee Remick and Gregory Peck in the original 1976 horror film.

Stiles and Schreiber are close to signing on, and production on "The Omen" is expected to begin in October 2005. The studio is aiming for a 6/6/06 release date (that's actually a pretty cool marketing trick - nice job).

Dan McDermott worked on the script and John Moore ("Flight of the Phoenix") will direct.
