Kate Hudson Something Borrowed Interview Video

Kate Hudson stars as a narcissistic woman about to be married to the man her best friend's secretly in love with in the romantic comedy Something Borrowed, based on the bestselling book by Emily Giffin. Hudson's been in a fair amount of romantic comedies before, however Something Borrowed is the first of the genre to find her playing a character who can best be described as, well, unpleasant. And at the world premiere of the Warner Bros Pictures film, Hudson - pregnant and absolutely glowing - talked about tackling the project and working with the film's producers, Hilary Swank and Molly Smith.

Something Borrowed stars Kate Hudson, Ginnifer Goodwin, Colin Egglesfield, John Krasinski, and Ashley Williams, and is set to hit theaters on May 6, 2011.

Something Borrowed Plot:

Rachel (Goodwin) is a talented attorney at a top New York law firm, a generous and loyal friend and, unhappily, still single...as her engaged best friend Darcy (Hudson) is constantly reminding her. But after one drink too many at her 30th birthday party, perpetual good girl Rachel unexpectedly ends up in bed with the guy she’s had a crush on since law school, Dex (Egglesfield), who just happens to be Darcy’s fiancé. When Rachel and Darcy’s lifelong friendship collides with true love, it leads to unexpected complications and potentially explosive romantic revelations. Meanwhile, Ethan (Krasinski), who has been Rachel’s constant confidante and sometimes conscience, has been harboring a secret of his own, and Marcus (Steve Howey), an irrepressible womanizer, can’t keep his mind out of the gutter or his hands off any girl within reach.
