Guide Review - 'Sleuth' DVD Review
Jude Law star as Milo Tindle, a handsome young man whos invited to his lovers husbands home to talk about their affair. Caine plays crime novelist Andrew Wyke, the cuckolded husband who decides the best way to fight fire is to have a one-on-one conversation with his wifes lover. A battle of wits ensues as the two men size each other up, looking for any weak spots to attack.
The Bonus Features
The Sleuth DVD doesn't skimp on extra features and in fact there are two - yes, two - commentary tracks included on the DVD. One track has Michael Caine and director Kenneth Branagh teaming up (and having fun) discussing the film. The second track is Jude Law by himself and doing a decent job of not only explaining his character but also providing a few interesting tidbits about the production.
'A Game of Cat & Mouse: Behind the Scenes of Sleuth' takes a look at Harold Pinter's screenplay, Branagh as director, and Caine and Law in the starring roles (Caine says he believes this is Law's best performance to date, and he's right). The DVD also includes a featurette all about the makeup process which focuses on Law's character's transformation.
