Oct 2, 2008 - London's been invaded by the cast and crew of Sherlock Holmes. The Warner Bros Pictures and Village Roadshow Pictures film is getting underway with Guy Ritchie in the director's seat and Robert Downey Jr in the lead role.
Jude Law will be playing Sherlock Holmes' colleague, Watson, with Rachel McAdams onboard as Irene Adler. Mark Strong's co-starring as Holmes' adversary, Blackwood. Watson's love interest, Mary, will be played by Kelly Reilly.
Joel Silver, Lionel Wigram, Susan Downey and Dan Lin are producing the film which is inspired by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's detective stories. Lionel Wigram wrote the screenplay based on his original comic book.
