Any Chance of a Reconciliation with The Big Show?: “At this point, I can’t reconcile with anyone. There’s just too many demons in my head right now so I don't think anyone’s going to be wanting to be my tag team partner for quite a while.”
Working Without the Mask: Does he miss it? “In some respects I do just because we all look back with nostalgia on things,” said Kane. “And the mask added even more mystery to me. But in other ways, I really don’t miss it because it was a little bit of a pain. But really the most important thing was just it served its function and it hid my face from the world. We all have masks that we wear. Mine was a literal one.”
Kane’s Physical Presence: Kane says kids are afraid of him and seldom get up the courage to come up and talk to him because of his size. He was literally built for physical work. “Well, you know, that’s part of the reason that I got into wrestling was because I figured there was only so many other people on the planet that were as big as I am and gifted with any sort of athletic ability. So I thought that was a major reason why I decided to pursue wrestling back when I did.”
Why was the Persona of Kane the One That Caught On?: “Well, I think just because the story has been so tremendous. Just being able, when Kane initially appeared, having a feud with The Undertaker and being tied in with The Undertaker, and then the story… I think my own opinion, the long term story and the character development has, along with The Undertaker, been the best that the WWE’s ever done.”
Kane’s Future Plans: Kane said he’ll stay in wrestling indefinitely. “Yeah, yeah. I’m first and foremost a WWE superstar. WWE has been very good to me. There’s nothing like going out in front of the fans every night and hearing them appreciate what you do. Whether they’re screaming your name or whether they’re booing you out of the building, either way you know that you’re doing your job. There’s just nothing like it. Some of our other guys have made transitions to fulltime movie stars but I’m first and foremost a WWE entertainer superstar and that’s what I want to do.”
Asked if any doors opened in the world of films due to his starring turn in See No Evil, Kane said, “I haven’t pursued anything yet just because all our efforts are being put into making See No Evil a success. Hopefully the door that it’ll open is that we can do more See No Evils and Jacob Goodnight will become a part of pop culture on the level of Michael Myers, Jason Voorhees, Freddy Krueger.”
