Adam Sandler and Kevin James May Be Exchanging I Do's

Sandler and James in Talks to Star in "I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry"

Feb 9, 2006 - Universal Pictures is getting closer to bringing their "I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry" comedy to the big screen. Adam Sandler and Kevin James are in talks to play the lead roles in the comedy which will be directed by David Dobkin ("Wedding Crashers," "Shanghai Knights").

Alexander Payne and James Taylor (the writers of "Sideways" and "About Schmidt") wrote the script which revolves around two heterosexual firefighters who masquerade as a gay couple in order to get in on their Union's domestic partner benefits.

According to Variety, Tom Shadyac was going to direct the film a while back however now he'll be serving in only the producer capacity.

Next up for Adam Sandler is the comedy "Click" with Kate Beckinsale and Christopher Walken. Sandler is also keeping busy as a producer on "The Benchwarmers" and "Strange Wilderness." Kevin James' big screen projects include voice work in "Barnyard" and playing a police officer in "Monster House" for director Gil Kenan.
