April 9, 2007 - Adam Sandler has landed the lead in the family comedy movie, Bedtime Stories, to be directed by Adam Shankman (Hairspray, The Pacifier, Bringing Down the House). Bedtime Stories marks Sandler's return to comedy after going dramatic in Reign Over Me.
The Walt Disney Pictures film follows Sandler as a busy real estate developer whose life is spun on its head when the bedtime stories (hence the film's title) he tells his family begin coming true. Matt Lopez wrote the screenplay with Sandler, Jack Giarraputo, and Andrew Gunn set to produce.
Disney expects Bedtime Stories to hit theaters in 2008.
Sandler will next be seen in I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry alongside Kevin James, Jessica Biel and Steve Buscemi.
