Audiences love Meg Ryan in romantic comedies and with a starring role in in the upcoming film, "The Role of a Lifetime," the actress returns to the genre where she's had the most success.According to The Hollywood Reporter, "The Role of a Lifetime" has been almost a lifetime in the making. 10 years ago it was Columbia Pictures that had control of the project. Now Touchstone Pictures is involved along with Armyan Bernstein's Beacon Pictures. Denise DiNovi, Kevin Spacey (who is not interested in starring in the movie), and Dean Devlin will produce.
"The Role of a Lifetime" is a romantic comedy that follows a British theatre director who comes to America and has to cast a movie star (Ryan) in his Shakespearean production.
