Milo Ventimiglias Also Busy at Work on the Small Screen: Ventimiglia plays one of the lead roles in the 2006 surprise hit TV series Heroes. Ventimiglia stars as hospice nurse Peter Petrelli who has the ability to absorb the characteristics of other heroes.
At the time of this interview, the first half of the first season of Heroes had finished airing. Fans are dying to find out whats going to happen to all the superhero characters introduced during the first few months of the fledgling series. Ventimiglia wouldnt give anything too specific away but did comment a little on what audiences can expect when the series returns. Id have to say, if you were blow away by what you saw in the first half of the season, youre really going to be blown away by the second half. Theres that fairy dust sprinkled on things and that excitement of, Are they really going to do this? Oh, my God, they just did it! Its going to be kind of hold-your-breath television.
Heroes is the Breakout Hit of 2006: And that doesnt really surprise Ventimiglia. If I were to say I were surprised at how well the show is doing, Id probably look like an idiot. From day one of reading the script Heroes just blew me away. The twists, the turns, character development and the build, I really was blown away. And then you add everything else, the writers, the production team and all the directors that have come through, it really has just grown into this wonderful world. It does stretch across [the world]. [Theres] an American influence or an American appreciation, but I hear about people in the U.K., in Australia Asia is really looking forward to the show, having seen bits and pieces of it.
Even with such a large cast, Ventimiglia has had the chance to work with all but a few of the key members of the group. Leonard Roberts, Ali Larter... I think Ive worked with everybody else. That was the nice thing about my character. I got to bounce around. But I havent worked with Ali or Leonard or Noah [Gray-Cabey] yet.
