Julia Roberts has signed on to provide the voice of an ant named Hova in "Ant Bully," a CGI animated film from Warner Bros. and Playtone. "Jimmy Neutron" director John Davis will write and direct "Ant Bully."

Based on John Nickle's illustrated book, "Ant Bully" follows the adventures of Lucas Nickle, a mischievous kid who creates havoc by destroying an ant colony. Lucas then finds himself shrunk to the size of an ant and put to work in the colony.

Joining Julia Roberts as part of the vocal cast will be Cheri Oteri, Ricardo Montalban, Shirley MacLaine, Paul Giamatti, Alan Cumming, and Zach Tyler (as 'Lucas'). Tom Hanks, Gary Goetzman, and John Davis are producing the film.

Roberts will begin her voice work in the next month, prior to giving birth and before she starts filming "Seven Year Switch" for director Mike Nichols.
