Rise of the Planet of the Apes Behind the Scenes Clip
The Academy Award-winning effects house, WETA, was responsible for bringing the apes to life in Rise of the Planet of the Apes, and in this clip we see how the apes will look. Andy Serkis, best known for playing Gollum by way of a performance capture suit in the Lord of the Rings films, dons the special outfit again to play the film's lead ape character, Caesar. Rise of the Planet of the Apes Plot:
Rise of the Planet of the Apes is an origin story in the truest sense of the term. Set in present day San Francisco, the film is a reality-based cautionary tale, a science fiction/science fact blend, where man’s own experiments with genetic engineering lead to the development of intelligence in apes and the onset of a war for supremacy.
