Reynolds and The Rock Tackle "Blowback"

The Rock (real name: Dwayne Johnson) and Ryan Reynolds are attached to star in the buddy comedy, "Blowback," which was just picked up by Touchstone Pictures.

Sheldon Turner ("The Longest Yard" remake) wrote the script for the action-comedy which centers around two San Francisco cops. Andrew Panay, Peter Abrams, Robert Levy, and Dark Trick Films will produce the film. Ryan Reynolds will serve as an executive producer.

Wrestler turned actor The Rock will next be seen in the big screen adaptation of "Doom," and is currently filming "Gridiron Gang." The Rock also has starring turns in "Spy Hunter," "Johnny Bravo" and "Southland Tales" (from "Donnie Darko" writer/director Richard Kelly) in the works.

Ryan Reynolds recently starred in "The Amityville Horror" remake and has "Waiting" up next.
