Guy Ritchie’s next film, RocknRolla starring Gerard Butler, Thandie Newton, Idris Elba and Tom Wilkinson, won’t be anywhere near as complex as Revolver. “That's not such cerebral stuff,” said Ritchie. “It's fun. It's kind of a commentary on how London is now and it's all to do with Russian oligarchs [bumming] up the city and stuff, and the shenanigans that take place in the underworld because of that. So, it's fun and it's easy.”
Other possible projects in the works include a movie inspired by a comic and a remake of a classic war film. “We did a comic about a year ago or two called The Gamekeeper. Then Warner Brothers picked it up. It's about a gamekeeper, and a gamekeeper is someone who keeps down the vermin on the land. So it's about a gamekeeper from Sarajevo. So I'm doing that with Warner Brothers, actually. And whilst I was having chats with Warner Brothers, they said, ‘Do you want to make Dirty Dozen as well?’ So yeah, the idea is that we will make a remake of the Dirty Dozen too.”
