Adrian Lyne will direct the film, with Beau Flynn, Tripp Vinson and Erwin Stoff producing. David and Janet Peoples and Sebastian Gutierrez wrote the script.
The official version of events: On Good Friday 1958, Lana Turner and her boyfriend, Johnny Stompanato, were in the middle of a vicious fight when Turner's 14 year-old, Cheryl Crane, grabbed a carving knife and stabbed Stompanato in the stomach. He died on Turner's bedroom floor.
