October 26, 2004 - Jamie Foxx is really mixing things up. Not just satisfied to take on any one genre of film, or settle for one artistic medium over another, Jamie Foxx has enjoyed success in dramatic films, comedies, on television, and in the music industry.
Foxx most recently starred opposite Tom Cruise in Michael Mann's "Collateral". In the film, Foxx plays a taxi driver whose cab is hijacked by a hired killer on a mission to carry out five hits before sunrise. Up after that is a role in the action/thriller "Stealth" to be directed by Rob Cohen and co-starring Josh Lucas and Jessica Biel.
Foxx was the star of his own series, "The Jamie Foxx Show," back in 1996. Foxx not only starred in the series but was busy behind the scenes as well. Foxx co-created the series, served as an executive producer, and even directed a few episodes.
Jamie Foxx earned rave reviews for his performance as a star quarterback in Oliver Stone's "Any Given Sunday." Foxx not only shared the screen with Al Pacino and Cameron Diaz in "Any Given Sunday," but also wrote, produced, and performed two songs on the film's soundtrack. Foxx also co-starred with Will Smith in the 2001 movie, "Ali," based on the life of legendary boxer Muhammad Ali.
