Guide Review - 'The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian' 3-Disc Collector's Edition DVD
The StoryPrince Caspian takes place a year after The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe and finds our four young heroes back in the fantastical world of Narnia. However, while it's only been a year in their time, 1300 years have passed in Narnian time. The Telmarines, ruled by the evil King Miraz, have taken over the country and the people are living in fear.
But there is hope. Prince Caspian (Ben Barnes), the rightful ruler of Narnia, was forced into hiding by his uncle, King Miraz. And now with the help of a batch of interesting creatures, Prince Caspian, Peter, Lucy, Edmund, and Susan join together to defeat the evil king and his army and restore Narnia to peace and prosperity.
The Bonus Features
The 3-Disc Collector's Edition is packed with extra features including an interesting and insightful commentary track by the director and actors. In addition to a special digital copy of the film, there are featurettes covering just about every aspect of making the film. Inside Narnia looks at getting the cast together, Sets of Narnia features gorgeous locations, Big Movie Comes to a Small Town is all about the difficulties and the beauty of filming in Slovania, and Talking Animals and Walking Trees shows the importance of the creatures and nature in the film.
The Collector's Edition DVD also includes 10 deleted scenes and a fun bunch of bloopers. And viewers get a look behind the scenes at the staging and prep for Peter and Miraz' fight in Secrets of the Duel. There are also two interesting featurettes focusing on Warwick Davis and Peter Dinklage's transformation into wee creatures.
