April 23, 2005 - Natalie Portman's got to be one of Hollywood's busiest actresses. Portman's currently at work on the movie "V for Vendetta" and will soon be seen as Queen Amidala in the final "Star Wars" movie, "Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith." After she wraps production on "V for Vendetta," she'll start work on "Goya's Ghosts" with Javier Bardem. She's also rumored to be starring in "The Smokers" for director Richard Linklater.
Now comes word that Portman's considering a starring role in "Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium" for first time feature film director Zach Helm. Helm wrote the script which, according to The Hollywood Reporter, is about a strange and magical toy store.
Producer Richard Gladstein recently commented on the project to The Hollywood Reporter. Gladstein said, "Zach is a unique and talented writer, and I'm thrilled to be working with him on what I imagine will be the first of many films he'll be directing. Natalie's response to the script has been brilliant, and she is the ideal actor around whom to build a wonderful ensemble."
Academy Award-nominee Portman ("Closer") is expected to film "Goya's Ghost" before "Emporium."
